Every year about this time we hear “Happy Thanksgiving” from friends, loved ones, and even strangers, but what does the word of God say about thanksgiving? Here are a few of the scriptures where thanksgiving is used. Enjoy!

Lev 22:29 And when ye will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto the LORD, offer it at your own will.

Neh 12:46 For in the days of David and Asaph of old there were chief of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God.

Psa 26:7 That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.

Psa 50:14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:

Psa 69:30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.

Psa 95:2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.

Psa 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

Psa 147:7 Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:

Isa 51:3 For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

Jer 30:19 And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.

2Co 4:15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

Phi 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Col 4:2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

Rev 7:12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

This list is not all of the scriptures where thanksgiving is used in the word of God. But a closer examination of these scriptures reveal where the true spirit of thanksgiving belongs. This thanksgiving, please take a moment away from the food preparation, the football games, the planned shopping trips for the big sales, and tell our Heavenly Father how thankful we are for His loving grace and for the ultimate gift of salvation He gave us through His Son Jesus Christ! Now THAT is truly what thanksgiving is all about!

Explicit Faith  is pleased to announce the confirmation of the December 8, 2007 show at Hardy County Middle School in Baker, WV! The show will begin promptly at 7:00 PM so please plan your arrival accordingly. Our new song “Drivin’ Nails” will be performed at this show and as always there may be a few other “surprises” so DONT MISS this opportunity to come and fellowship and offer praise to the Lord! What an awesome Father we have! God has certainly brought the blessings forth on Explicit Faith  and our music ministry! A few days ago we entered Cabin Studios and recorded two songs with Les Thompson, who handled all of the critical buttons and setups. What an exciting experience and excellent fellowship! Pictures of this historic event are posted in the photo section. The tracks Explicit Faith  recorded are available on our myspace as well as the Christian social networking pages! Plans are ongoing for a performance on December 8, 2007 in the Hardy County WV area. Please leave this date open on your calenders and join Explicit Faith  as we introduce our brand new song Drivin’ Nails  for the first time in public! Venue location and time will be posted as soon as it is available!

Well it has happened! God has opened the door for Explicit Faith  to enter into the recording studio to begin work on their highly anticipated debut CD! There is a smell of excitement in the air along with the seasonal scents that only autumn can bring. Explicit Faith  has teamed with Les Thompson one of the founding members of the legendary Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Les will be providing the studio space, sound engineering, and over 40 years of experience to our recordings. We thank God for this wonderful opportunity to work along with Les and ask that the experience be glorious to God and a blessing to all those involved! Stay tuned for more information!

Explicit Faith  is pleased to announce an advance look at their upcoming single Drivin’ Nails as a demo track. This song was recorded  using a primitive setup at our practice facility so the quality of the track suffers a bit and is very raw. Explicit Faith  is very excited and thankful about this tune and the message it brings. We pray that God will be honored by the song and glory brought to His name as you listen to it!
